Dry cleaning facility destroyed by fire

The family of a northeast Houston dry cleaning business is trying to decide what to do next after a fire severely damaged their main facility. The fire broke out this afternoon at E&E Cleaners on Crane near Hoffman. The owners tell Eyewitness News they were inside the building and then saw flames. They tried to put out the flames, but couldn't. So they had to get out.

"I run into the back to get the water hose, but it just was so fast, the clothes and the plastic," said store owner Marina Saldivar.

The owners didn't have insurance on the building. They suffered a similar fire at another location about 6 years ago, and had bought the one that burned today as a replacement.
