"The homeowner was struck several times. The homeowner was able to get up from the couch, go to his bedroom and retrieve a weapon of his own," said Captain John Bailey with the Missouri City Police Department. "But unfortunately he collapsed there and was not able to return gunfire."
The homeowner died at the scene. The woman was not hurt. Police did say they found the suspected shooter and arrested him.
