Two shot in deadly home invasion

HOUSTON It all happened at a home on Cypresswood Glen at Cypresswood Falls at about 10:15am.. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Department, two suspects accosted the homeowner outside as he arrived home. They forced the homeowner inside, where he produced a weapon and exchanged gunfire with the susects. The homeowner and one suspect sustained fatal wounds.

The suspect escaped and ran to a nearby home where he collapsed and died. The homeowner's wife heard the gunfire and ran to her husband's aid. She called an ambulance but her husband died before it arrived.

Harris County Sheriff's Department says the second suspect has not been identified and remains at large. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to called the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 713-967-5810 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
