Three face drug charges near schools

RICHMOND, TX Investigators in Fort Bend County say the suspects were packaging and distributing cocaine out of an apartment directly located adjacent to Wessendorff Middle School and directly across the street from Deaf Smith Elementary School.

Officers raided the apartment last week. Agents located approximately 2.5 ounces of cocaine. The state statue defines this amount of cocaine being distributed in a Drug Free Zone to be classified as a first degree felony. This offense is punishable from 5 to 99 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

Aurelio Montelongo, Lorina Quintero and Gabriel Deleon were all arrested and charged with delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone. They remain in custody.
