Driver in Ft. Worth injured when retaining wall falls

FT. WORTH, TX Fort Worth police say that the 53-year-old driver was westbound on West Vickery Boulevard on Friday afternoon when the wall collapsed.

Police say the driver was taken to the hospital but did not have life-threatening injuries.

Greg Simmons, the city's assistant director of public works, tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that city officials are taking the lead in the preliminary investigation and cleanup and are trying to determine who is responsible for repairs.

Police told residents who live above the wall to stay out of their backyards.
