Suspicious fire breaks out at vacant home

Firefighters battled big flames at a vacant home near Memorial Park this morning. The fire broke out around 5am on Stillman and Utah at a home believed to have been abandoned. Fire officials say they have talked to a man who says he has been spending time there. The man reportedly told crews that he and some people he knows had been using a heat source to stay warm.

According to nearby residents, there was no electricity at the home.

Arson investigators are on the scene. The cause of the fire is not known. No one was injured.
