Arson investigators are looking into the cause of a fire that torched a storage unit and threatened a building in east Houston. The fire broke out early Saturday morning off Maxey. Firefighters say a car and the storage unit caught on fire, but they were able to keep the flames away from an adjacent building.

The building's owner says he kept party rental items in the storage area. No one was hurt.
