A friend of the victim saw what was going on and ran over to try to stop the robber. Police say the suspect saw him coming and shot him.
The victim was transported to Memorial Hermann in critical condition. Police are still looking for the gunman.
Armed suspect shoots man during robbery
HOUSTON
Authorities say a man was returning home to his apartment on Broadway near Rockhill after grocery shopping overnight. When he got out of his car, a man ran up, pointed a gun at him and demanded his wallet and money.
