As the gunmen were leaving, the store clerk grabbed his gun and opened fire. A gunfight ensued until the crooks got away on foot.
The wounded customer was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital in serious condition.

HOUSTON
Around 11:30pm Thursday, two men in masks stormed into the store on West Little York near Huffmeister waving guns.
A customer got in their way, and when he did not hand over his wallet, the crooks shot him in the back.
