Some senior citizens to get free turkeys

HOUSTON Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is hosting her annual Turkeys for Seniors giveaway today at the Acres Homes Multi Service Center. Several organizations donated more than 700 frozen turkeys to make sure some seniors have a bird for Thanksgiving.

They'll be handed out both today and tomorrow from 10am until 2pm. The Acres Homes Multi Service Center is located on 6719 West Montgomery in Houston.
