HOUSTON If you're paying full price, you are paying too much. That's good news for those who hate battling the Black Friday crowd. We are talking 40 to 60 percent off. These are the type of deals that are normally reserved for after Thanksgiving or even after Christmas, but we found these types of sales happening now.

Carole Wells is taking advantage of the half-off holiday decor sale at Hobby Lobby. She says the prices are so low, the selection is moving fast.

"The shelves are getting picked over. We can't find teal flowers except for this one. The one in Pearland is out of the teal flowers," said Wells.

At Hobby Lobby, artificial Christmas trees are half off. Some trees are normally $300, now it's just $150. Every ornament, every stocking and every tree skirt is 50 percent off.

"We like to hit it early so there is plenty of selection," said Ryan Chandler.

Over at Kohl's, it's more of the same - Santa's, reindeers, angels and nativity scenes, the whole department is half off.

Out in the suburbs at Garden Ridge, Cynthia Ford is shopping in the half-off holiday floral section.

"I think it's kind of amazing that they would have it on clearance or on sale like that to that extent this early. You expect ten percent to draw you in but 50 percent is pretty awesome," said Ford.

Here every Christmas tree has already been reduced by 30 to 50 percent off. Christmas wreaths are all 50 percent off, and as a bonus, if you want an additional discount before Thanksgiving Day, Garden Ridge has a $10 off coupon with a $25 purchase. If you'd rather shop at a department store for your décor, head over to JC Penney where you guessed it - everything is 50 percent off.

"Now is the time to get them because we got a great selection," said Nelson Whittington of JC Penney.

The store has a huge selection of ornaments, pillows and unique items to decorate table tops and mantles.

"Then we have coupons over the next few days that are going to enhance the 50 percent prices," said Whittington.

Plus, this Saturday only from 7am until 1pm, JC Penney is going to offer their entire holiday decor department at 60 percent off. As an added bonus, the company has $10 and $15 off coupons you can use in conjunction with the sale. Here is a link to the JC Penney coupon.

Most of the shoppers we spoke with say 50 percent off is great deal. You may see some stores with 60 percent off sales before Christmas, but JC Penney's store manager told us that's about as low as they are going to go until after Christmas.
