Final touches being put on holiday parade

HOUSTON Anthony Nguyen and his family have been designing and putting together the floats for the last few months, just east of downtown. They've made a new turkey float, Santa float and one that recognizes 60 years of the parade. The floats will have cheerleaders and marching bands alongside them. Nguyen says he has built the floats from the ground up.

He can't wait for the parade.

"If I see everybody on the street smiling and happy, it will make me feel good, because I'm proud of myself and I'm happy with what I'm doing to make everybody happy," he said.

This year's theme is "Dreams Come True." the parade is scheduled for Thanksgiving morning at 9am. Learn more about the parade, including parking, route and more.
