Driver dies after losing control

HOUSTON Witnesses say the driver of a red Pontiac G-6 was speeding southbound on Cullen when he veered off the road. The car hit the curb and then smashed into the concrete railing. The driver was killed on impact. Police are investigating why the driver lost control.

"No signs of alcohol or cans at this point," said Sgt. Sorge with the Houston Police Department. "It looks like speed is definitely a factor due to the way the damage looks."

An autopsy will determine if alcohol was also a factor in the crash.
