Drunk driver gets 5 years in ironic killing
HOUSTON Jose Resendez pleaded guilty to intoxication manslaughter and was given the sentence. Back in February he was driving drunk and wrecked his car, killing his passenger Nicholas Hernandez. At the time, Hernandez was awaiting trial after being charged with felony murder for killing two people while driving intoxicated in August of last year.
