Six rabbits stabbed to death in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO, TX Some of the slain rabbits were still in their cages. Other bodies were scattered around a yard.

San Antonio police did not immediately return a call Tuesday to provide further information.

Jose Gonzalez discovered the bodies Saturday. The 15-year-old's family owns the rabbits, which also had been shown in competition.

Lupita Rocha said her brother, Pedro Gonzalez, used the rabbits during his job as a counselor for patients. Rocha says some of the long, soft fur was used by the family to crochet scarves for people with cancer.

More than a dozen Angora rabbits at the home were unharmed.
