Kids leaving YMCA say they were approached

CONROE, TX The latest comes from the Conroe area, where a group of children say they were approached by a man they didn't know driving a vehicle they didn't recognize. The YMCA of Montgomery County says the kids were leaving an outreach program at Tamina Park when they were approached. They reportedly ran off and got away.

The children were not hurt and the YMCA staff contacted authorities immediately.

This follows Wednesday's abduction and sexual assault of a Conroe High School student. The 14-year-old girl was attacked after she got off her bus on Amar and FM 1484. The girl was later found by her father along the side of a road. She described her attacker as a large white man weighing 260 pounds and up to 6'4" tall.
