Local police and FBI agents are trying to figure out the events leading up to the kidnapping of a father and son in Fort Bend County yesterday. The men weren't found until early this morning near the Brazoria County line, not far from the town of Fresno.

The FBI's evidence response team arrived at the scene around 9:30am. They are reportedly collecting evidence in the wooded area at the end of a road. The FBI won't say what kind of evidence, citing ongoing investigations.

Authorities got a call yesterday morning about a possible abduction and that's when their search started, using HPD helicopters and K-9 units on the ground.

Around 2:30am, the FBI found two adult men in a wooded area who say they were kidnapped. Authorities have not released their ages, their relationship to each other or their condition when they were found. Investigators say both men were safe and they didn't request any medical attention.

The FBI does have one man in custody. He faces charges related to the reported kidnapping, though it is too early to say whether those will be state or federal charges. The suspect has not been officially booked or charged and until then, authorities aren't releasing where he is being held.

If the suspect is charged with a federal crime, he'll be taken to a federal detention center and if he's charged with a state crime, he will be held in state or local facilities.

This morning, Fort Bend County and Brazoria County deputies set up a perimeter to prevent from cars coming and going through the heavily wooded rural area. That perimeter came down around 8:30am, but the search is still ongoing.

The FBI says they are still actively looking for other suspects.
