Amnesty offered for bad check writers

HOUSTON The district attorney announced an amnesty program for hot check writers that will be in effect for the rest of October. Offenders can make good on their bad checks and avoid criminal charges. The amnesty will be followed with a warrant sweep.

A similar amnesty program was held last July.
