Man blows off hand with explosives

LAKE ELSINORE, CA Law enforcement officials initially told ABC News that both of the man's hands were blown off in the explosion.

It happened at a home and licensed day care center in the 30500 block of Audelo Street.

Law enforcement officials told ABC News that the man, said to be in his early 20s, was found with what's being described as a substantial quantity of the high explosive TATP.

A hospital contacted authorities late Wednesday to report a patient with a hand injury. Authorities responded to the hospital and investigated the home of 23-year-old Benjamin Kuzulka.

Along with the explosives, authorities found sophisticated marijuana growing facility in the backyard.

Kuzulka has been arrested, along with his brother and mother, who owns the property and runs the day care.

An extensive, multi-agency investigation -- including the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the FBI and the ATF -- is under way.

Children were reportedly on the premises when the incident happened.

Neo Nazi and anarchist-type literature were allegedly found in the home, but police have not confirmed this information.

There is no known link at this time to any organized right wing extremist group.

TATP explosives were used in the 2005 London bombings and suspected in the current Zazi alleged terrorism case.
