MTV to air DJ AM's series `Gone too Far'

NEW YORK The 36-year-old celebrity spinner, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, was found in his Manhattan apartment on Aug. 28 after a friend called 911. The medical examiner's office has ruled that he died of an accidental overdose of prescription drugs and cocaine.

MTV says in a statement that it decided to move ahead with the eight-episode series, created and hosted by Goldstein, with the consent and support of his family.

Goldstein had openly discussed past addictions to crack cocaine, Ecstasy and other drugs.
