Hotel demolition to shut down rail

HOUSTON There will be no service between the University of Houston downtown station and the downtown transit center northbound platform beginning Friday at 6pm. Normal service is scheduled to resume Monday at 4am.

Crews are set to demolish the old hotel on Main near Pease Friday. The city issued an emergency demolition order after engineers determined the building was unsafe.
