Police hunt gang members in baby's killing

LOS ANGELES, CA Police say the shooting occurred Sunday morning at a party in the San Fernando Valley and was prompted by an argument between the two assailants and 18-year-old Eric Ramirez, the baby's father and a known gang member.

Police Officer Norma Eisenman says the two suspects opened fire with a shotgun on the group at about 1 a.m. as the baby, Andrew Garcia, was being bottle fed inside a parked car.

Eisenman says Ramirez was hit as he stood outside the car, and family friend Anna Contreras, 28, was hit as she fed the baby.

The baby died at a hospital. Contreras remains hospitalized in stable condition.
