Detective Jack Harvey with the Houston Police Department said, "There were three toddlers in the home. They were removed and they are with family right now. Another of their children was in school at the time, and they are all with their family at this time."
Police say the children did not witness the shooting. No one else was hurt.
Police say there's no history of domestic violence, but do say the couple was known to have loud arguments. The woman was taken into custody for questioning.
