Man killed during SWAT standoff

HOUSTON Investigators say neighbors called police Saturday because a man was shooting his gun into the air at a home on Turquoise at Ridgecrest. Officers arrived and the 49-year-old man shot his gun again. Officers took cover and called in the SWAT team.

SWAT members tried to negotiate with the man for about two hours. Then they say he pointed his gun at them. An officer fired, killing the suspect.
