Woman found dead in her home

HOUSTON Investigators are trying to figure out who might have killed 30-year-old Christina Lewis in a trailer home sometime overnight. Family members are devastated by Lewis' death.

Investigators say Lewis lived in the trailer with two male roommates. Officials that Thursday around 10pm, everyone was inside the trailer and they all reportedly went to sleep in their own rooms. About 6am, one of the roommates reportedly got up and went to Lewis' room where he discovered her dead. At that time, the third roommate, we're told, was nowhere to be found.

Investigators are looking for the missing roommate. The other roommate is reportedly cooperating with authorities.

Family members told Eyewitness News Lewis got into this living arrangement because she was trying to get her life back in order.

Debra, the victim's sister, said, "Many times I've asked her to stop hanging out with people she hangs out with, you know, just the way she lived. I don't know all the people she hung out, and I didn't know who her friends were. It's just hard, being the bigger sister, trying to keep up with your little sister. ... You know, the lifestyle she lived, it wasn't the best lifestyle."

Family members say Lewis leaves behind three children. Those children were all living with a sister of Lewis in their old school district so they had a stable home and were able to go to school on a regular basis.

Investigators say there were no obvious signs of trauma, such as stab wounds or gunshot wounds. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation continues.
