Judge rules against Spec's near Memorial Park

HOUSTON Spec's went to court Friday to fight to keep their liquor license and stay open at the location along Washington Avenue near Utah, even though they sit too close to a school. Spec's wanted a suspension of their license which would allow them to open at a later date.

The state judge denied that request so Spec's in turn asked to voluntarily cancel its license.
