PISD trustees fire athletic director

PEARLAND, TX After reviewing the results of an internal investigation, the Pearland school board voted unanimously Tuesday to terminate Mike Watson. Watson was put on paid leave last month after someone said Watson carried a gun into the district's administration building in the spring.

Former assistant superintendent Bob Richter will serve as interim athletic director. Watson has 15 days to appeal his termination.
