Firefighters rescued during house fire

HOUSTON The firefighters called a mayday when they were trapped by flames on the second floor of the home on Sugar Hill at Briarbook. Fellow firefighters used a ladder to get them out through the second story window.

The homeowner believes the fire started in an air conditioning unit. One firefighter suffered minor burns to his arm. No one else was hurt.
