He'll be listed as day-to-day this week as the Texans prepare to wrap up the preseason against Tampa Bay.

Coach Gary Kubiak says he is not concerned about the possibility that he'll miss Houston's opener against the Jets on Sept. 13. Kubiak says the quarterback called him as he was driving home from Monday night's game and told him that "he'll be fine" for the opener.

Schaub sprained his ankle in the second quarter of Houston's loss to Minnesota. He returned after the injury, but was limping and was replaced by Dan Orlovsky to start the third quarter.
