Acevedo says she saw the small passenger plane in the parking lot near her store at the Rockaway Township Mall. She says no one else appears to be injured.
Television footage shows the plane with minimal damage, surrounded by fire-retardant foam.
It isn't yet clear where the plane took off from or where it was headed.
