No hecklers inside Green town hall meeting

HOUSTON Outside the congressman's meeting in the Manchester area, protestors sang songs in Spanish and German, while holding up signs comparing President Obama to Adolf Hitler.

But their message could not get inside. Aides were checking ID's at the door to make sure only constituents could get inside the Hartman Community Center.

The Democratic congressman did not want a repeat of previous town hall meetings, in which he claimed people living outside his district caused the most disruptions. Nonetheless, his constituents still had tough questions.

"Before you and Sheila Jackson Lee, Al Greene start vilifying the insurance companies from making a profit, I think Congress needs to take a look in the mirror because they are responsible for the system we have," said one constituent during the meeting.

Congressman Green has three more town hall meetings scheduled, including one tonight at the Sterling Municipal Library in Baytown.
