Just Energy corrects bill error

HOUSTON Just Energy is the company that sent a former customer a $30,000 fee for breaking her utility contract. On Tuesday, a spokesperson for Just Energy said that bill was an error. The actual cost for breaking the five year contract is $3,000.

The company also said the original bills also contained errors attributed to meter reading mistakes they blame on Centerpoint Energy.

We spoke to the business owner who got that big termination fee and so far she has not heard from the company, but says she expects to hear something soon.
