Business owners hope to stop road work

HOUSTON TxDOT has plans to eliminate the center turn lane, install medians and install a series of left turn bays along FM 1960 between Highway 249 and Interstate 45. Some worry construction will hurt businesses in the area, but others say it will help beautify the FM 1960 corridor.

The project is expected to start at the beginning of next year.
