Heavyset robbery suspect caught on tape

HOUSTON It's believed the suspect is responsible for at least eight robberies in the Houston area, including five in January and three since June 19. In each case, the suspect enters the store in the early morning hours wearing a black cloth wrapped around his face like a mask and a black cap. He produces a pistol and demands cash.

After getting the cash, he leaves the store in a white Ford or Chevy single cab pickup truck with no licenses plates. The truck has a gray bumper and a black plastic bed liner.

The suspect is a white male between the ages of 40 and 50. He is approximately 6' to 6'5" tall, and between 280 to 350 pounds, with a heavy build and a large belly. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. He has been armed with a black semiautomatic pistol.

  • 1-26-2009 5:35 a.m. - Shipley Donuts, 10750 Barker Cypress
  • 1-26-2009 6:45 a.m. - HEB Grocery Store, 10919 Louetta Road at Highway 249.
  • 1-28-2009 4:50 a.m. - CVS Pharmacy, 9109 N. SH 6 at Huffmeister.
  • 1-30-2009 4:40 a.m. - CVS Pharmacy, 959 Bay Area Blvd.
  • 1-31-2009 5:00 a.m. - CVS Pharmacy, 5603 W. FM 1960.
  • 6-19-2009 4:15 a.m. - Walgreen's, 7304 Louetta Rd
  • 7-09-2009 3:40 a.m. - Walgreen's 4995 North State Hwy 6
  • 8-03-2009 4:45 a.m. - Walgreen's 4495 North State Hwy 6
