Humble police responded to the scene and found one man inside the Acura. Authorities arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving.
"A second vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed with out of control speed ... struck the deputy from behind," said an investigator on the scene.
The deputy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The other driver didn't appear to be hurt.
Authorities say the suspect's speedometer was stuck at 110 miles per hour.
