Ice cream truck driver beaten up

TOMBALL, TX On July 22 at about 7:15pm, Precinct 4 Constables deputies responded to the 8500 block of Ponderosa Pines Place, at the Pinewood Place Trailer Community, for a reported assault. Upon arrival the deputies were told by witnesses that Victor McDonald had been assaulted by three unknown men while operating his ice cream truck in the neighborhood.

On July 22 around 7pm, Victor McDonald was operating his ice cream truck in the 8500 block of Ponderosa Pines Place, at the Pinewood Place Trailer Community, when he was approached by three men who began yelling obscenities and racial slurs at him. One of the men hit the truck and jumped in front of it, forcing McDonald to stop.

At that time, the suspects began to hit McDonald through the open window and door of the truck. McDonald was able to get away and called police. McDonald was able to provide Precinct 4 Constables deputies with a description of the suspects.

Deputies later located three men matching the description of the suspects and attempted to detain them. The males were able to flee into a mobile home before deputies could stop them and they refused to open the door. Due to no fresh pursuit of known suspects, no forced entry was allowed into the mobile home.

McDonald received non life threatening facial injuries that required him to be transported from a minor care facility to Herman Hospital for treatment.

After extensive research, the three males were identified by the reporting deputy. McDonald was able to identify all three suspects from a photo lineup. Warrants for first degree aggravated assault have been issued for Dale Howell, 36, of Spring; Christopher Elledge, 20, of Spring; and Troy Dean Elledge, 42, of Spring. So far authorities have not been able to locate the men. The suspects are believed to have fled the Harris County area.
