Turn your car into an oven

Eyewitness News has a way to put your very hot car to good use in the summer heat. It turns out you can use the heat that builds up inside your vehicle during the day to cook a fresh batch of cookies. Temperatures inside a hot car can get above 150 degrees and that's just hot enough to bake cookies on a dashboard.

They take anywhere from two to five hours to cook depending on how hot it is outside. You can use just about any kind of pre-packaged cookie dough to make the cookies.

The cookies will be light in color though because it takes a much higher temperature to get sugar to caramelize.
