Man shot in head while driving on freeway

HOUSTON Witnesses say around 1am they saw a car following a pickup truck on the freeway near Cavalcade. They say the car pulled up to the driver's side of the pickup and that's when shots were fired.

The truck swerved, nearly hitting two vehicles, and slammed into a wall. The driver of the truck was shot and taken to the hospital.

"The evidence within the vehicle indicates that more than likely he was struck in the head by the gunfire," said Brian Evans with the Houston Police Department.

The shooter drove off and hasn't been caught.
