Money argument leads to sword attack

HALTOM CITY, TX Police Sgt. Eric Peters tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that the two men got into a heated argument over money about 11 a.m. Thursday. Finally, one unsheathed the katana, or samurai-style sword, and started slashing at the other man.

Peters says the target of the attack was cut on his nose, head, hands and arms and was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. The officer says the wounds aren't thought to be life-threatening.

The other man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. No identities have been released yet.
