Cy-Fair ISD to get $6M from state

HOUSTON The state decided to give the district millions of your tax dollars after the district decided not to revoke its homestead exemption. The Texas Education Agency told Cy-Fair ISD the district will receive an additional $6.2 million in surplus school funds this coming school year.

The district told us it will still have to lay off 75 employees to try to balance its budget.
