Man found shot to death in apartment

HOUSTON Marcus Washington, 34, lived with his cousin in the Carriage Place apartments in north Harris County. His cousin had seen him sleeping Friday morning. Neighbors reported hearing what sounded like an argument around noon. There were no signs of forced entry when the victim's cousin returned home that evening.

"Then we he returned about 7:30pm, the door was locked. He entered the apartment and found his cousin shot to death in the living area," said Sgt. Ben Beall of the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit.

Sheriff's deputies say the apartment appeared to have been ransacked by someone. Robbery has not been ruled out as a motive, but neither of the victim's vehicles were taken from the lot. Deputies do not have any information on possible suspects at this time.
