UH getting millions for research

HOUSTON Governor Rick Perry signed the bill Wednesday. The state will match grants and endowments that universities receive to help them become top research institutions. The schools will also get incentive funding.

The other schools include Texas Tech, the University of Texas-Dallas, and the University of Texas-San Antonio.
