Fatal wreck shuts down SW Freeway

HOUSTON Around 1:45am, a driver stopped to help a person who was stranded along 59 and Hazard. Both drivers were standing behind the cars, when a third driver crashed into them. One man flew over the wall into the HOV lane. He is currently in serious, but stable condition. The other was pinned between two cars and later died.

Officers arrested a suspect, who will be tested for DWI.
