Woman charged in deadly toll road wreck

HOUSTON Pamela Pugh is currently charged with driving while intoxicated. She was arrested for DWI early Friday morning after calling in a wreck, saying another driver had forced her into the retaining wall.

Pugh was arrested because an officer smelled alcohol. It wasn't until almost two hours later that a truck was discovered below the toll road with a woman's body inside.

Authorities say it appears Pugh's vehicle hit the woman from behind.
