Mathis obtained 100 of the 5,600 tickets that a former Southwest Airlines Co. administrative assistant acquired.
The tickets were supposed to be used to thank helpful passengers. Instead they were given to friends and relatives who sold them at low prices, cheating Southwest Airlines of $20,000.
Nine co-defendants remain under indictment, charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud. A trial date has not been set.
