Investigators report three masked men fired a shotgun to blast a hole in the front door of an apartment on FM 529 near Highway 6 last night. The gunfire killed a small dog.
The residents heard the commotion and called 911. By the time the robbers knocked the door down, they heard the police sirens and ran away without taking anything.
