Woman in bathing suit leads police on chase

A woman responsible for a dangerous police chase in Sacramento says she wouldn't pull over because she didn't want to lose her dog. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

The 50-mile high speed chase ended when an officer did a pit maneuver on a busy freeway. The driver, who was wearing a swimsuit, was eventually hauled away in handcuffs. [WATCH VIDEO] The 47-year-old driver, Annette Hurd, says she was worried the cops would take her dog...and they did.

Hurd says this is her tenth time being arrested. As for the bathing suit, she was coming home from swimming when the chase started.

Her dog, Lexus, was taken into custody.

She's now facing charges of evading police, driving on a suspended license, throwing objects out of a moving vehicle, DUI, possession of drugs, reckless driving and hit and run.
