About 70 soldiers arrived at Bush Intercontinental Airport Friday morning and boarded buses to Port O'Connor. The soldiers are all undergoing rehabilitation for their injuries, and this weekend is a chance for them to get out of their drab hospital rooms and enjoy the outdoors.
The trip was funded by a group of private citizens and retired police officers who wanted to show their support for veterans wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
