Nintendo is hoping a cubed-shaped device will take Wii gamers' controls to a new level of precision. Available beginning June 8, the Wii MotionPlus plugs into the Wii Remote and uses sensors to mimic gamers' exact hand movements, as opposed to a close approximation. The technology makes activities like sword fighting and golfing look seamless on screen.

The first video game that will be bundled with the Wii MotionPlus technology is the Electronic Arts golfing game "Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10," which introduces the ability to draw and fade a virtual golf club. Wedbush Morgan video game analyst Michael Pachter (PACK'-ter) anticipates that over 30 million Wii owners will purchase the new device in the first year.
