The boy's family members received an anonymous call Thursday afternoon. They were told the 15-year-old was dehydrated. They were also told to show up with money and water.
When the family arrived at the park, the teenager was dead.
Police said the park near Beltway 8 and Bellaire Blvd. is known for being an immigrant dropoff point.
